The Scenic Rim Region has the second fastest population growth rate in Queensland and the existing population of the Region, estimated at 38,000 is expected to more than double over the next 20 years. This growth provides significant employment opportunities in the region and creates ongoing prosperity and opportunities for the community. The Beaudesert area is well known for its majestic national parks and rainforests, some of which are World Heritage listed. Their spectacular scenery makes bushwalking a popular activity and there are plenty of campgrounds to try especially along the Albert River. Within the township there is a Hospital, a Library and aged care facilities.
